Christian Schools International partners with other agencies to provide standardized testing options for member schools in the United States. Schools must purchase testing materials directly from these agencies, which also supply customer support.


ACSI’s Christian School Program, featuring TerraNova

TerraNova 3 logoNew this year: CSI’s partnership with the Association of Christian Schools International allows CSI member schools in the US to participate in ACSI’s full-service student assessment program. The Christian School program features a customized version of the TerraNova, Third Edition achievement test, the most current norm-referenced test on the market. In addition to five diagnostic tests, the program also includes a Bible assessment, as well as professional development opportunities for administrators and teachers. Testing is available for grades K through 12.

Online enrollment dates for 2017:

  • January 3–January 31, 2017
  • February 8–March 3, 2017

Testing dates for 2017:

  • March 2017: Early testing window
  • April 2017: Traditional testing window
  • May 31, 2017: Deadline for answer documents to be received at scoring center

Iowa Tests of Basic Skills

Iowa Tests of Basic Skills logoThe Iowa Tests of Basic Skills, produced by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, is available to member schools with students in grades 1 through 8. The tests measure student achievement and growth across a continuum of next generation learning standards. Member schools receive a discount on scoring and materials. Schools also receive Christian school norms along with the national norms that accompany test results. Schools have the option of a fall or spring testing period using the Iowa Assessment, Form E.

Testing dates for the 2016-17 school year:

  • Fall Testing: October 3–21, 2016
  • Spring Testing: February 27–March 17, 2017
